Why Asian Lady Beetles Are Common in Mission

  • Exclusion sealing: Caulking and sealing gaps around window frames, utility penetrations, soffit and attic vents to deny entry
  • Interior treatments: For homes with established overwintering populations in attics or wall voids, targeted treatments can help manage the problem

Don’t crush Asian lady beetles — they release a pungent yellow fluid that stains fabric, upholstery, and walls. Vacuum them up instead. And don’t confuse them with native ladybugs — native ladybugs are round, have a consistent red color, and don’t swarm homes in fall.
