- Live bugs or shed skins. Adult bed bugs are about the size of an apple seed, reddish-brown, and oval. Nymphs are smaller and lighter colored. Cast skins accumulate near hiding spots.
- Musty odor. Heavy infestations produce a sweet, musty smell from bed bug scent glands.
Why Bed Bugs Show Up in Slater
