- Larvae in carpet fibers. Flea larvae are tiny white worm-like creatures that hide deep in carpet, upholstery, and pet bedding. Hard to spot unless you’re really looking.

Follow-up. Flea pupae are resistant to most treatments — they’re protected in their cocoons. That means a follow-up visit is often necessary 2-3 weeks after the initial treatment to catch newly emerged adults before they can reproduce.
