Youth & Education
Investing in the next generation is one of the most important things a local business can do. Miller Pest Solutions is a proud supporter of schools and after-school programs across the Midwest. Our team regularly participates in career day presentations at local elementary and middle schools, where we share what it’s like to work in pest management — and, yes, kids are absolutely fascinated by pest biology! From the life cycle of ants to how termites build their incredible colonies, there’s no shortage of engaging science behind what we do. These presentations spark curiosity and show students that science is everywhere around them, even in their own backyards.
Beyond classroom visits, we support science education sponsorships and scholarship opportunities to help students pursue careers in biology, entomology, environmental science, and the skilled trades. Habitat for Humanity & Housing
Everyone deserves a safe, healthy place to call home — and that includes a home free from pests. Miller Pest Solutions partners with Habitat for Humanity chapters in Des Moines, Kansas City, and Omaha to support families as they move into their new homes. We provide complimentary pest assessments for newly built Habitat homes, ensuring that families can settle in with complete peace of mind from day one.
Our team also volunteers on build days, rolling up our sleeves alongside other community members to help construct homes from the ground up. There’s something deeply rewarding about handing the keys to a family and knowing their home has been built with care and thoroughly inspected for pest-related concerns. We understand that safe, pest-free housing is a foundation for everything else in life — stable employment, healthy children, and strong families all start with a secure home. We’re honored to contribute to that mission in every way we can.
Food Banks & Hunger Relief
No family should have to worry about where their next meal is coming from. Miller Pest Solutions is proud to support hunger relief efforts across all three of our markets. We work with the Food Bank of Iowa, Harvesters — The Community Food Network in Kansas City, and the Food Bank for the Heartland in Omaha to help fight food insecurity in our region.
Throughout the year, our offices organize team food drives, collecting non-perishable goods and financial donations for families in need. During the holiday season, our efforts ramp up even further — because we know that the holidays can be an especially difficult time for families facing hardship. Our team members take pride in going above and beyond, often organizing their own drives and donation efforts within their local branches. Hunger relief is a cause close to our hearts, and we encourage our team members, customers, and community partners alike to get involved however they can.
Environmental Stewardship
